About our Behavioral Health Department
The Behavioral Health Program is committed to helping patients cope with life issues, heal emotional wounds, overcome obstacles and adapt a healthy lifestyle. A team of highly skilled licensed therapists Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) work with primary care providers to offer an integrated service in Placerville and Cameron Park.   ​
Behavioral Health Specialist cover a wide range of therapeutic services for young children through older adults, including those with disabilities. ​

Gina Reed, LCSW 
Behavioral Health Director

Gina completed her graduate degree in Masters of Social Work at Wayne State University, being originally from Michigan. She has worked in Child Protective Services, Adult Protective services, with developmentally disabled at an Adult Day Program and Living Facility, a School Social Worker, and with Traumatic Brain injured at a Day Program and Living Facility.  She has performed inpatient psychiatric treatment for both adults and children.  Gina was a clinical social worker in the Mercy Hospital system, Acute Care Hospitals and Home Health Agencies.    She has worked as a psychotherapist at an outpatient substance abuse program as well as in private practice. Gina is currently a psychotherapist as well as the Director of Behavioral Health with EDCHC.

John A. Bachman, PhD

John Bachman received his doctoral degree in psychology from the University of California, San Francisco. He served as the Behavioral Medicine Clinic Director for the Stanford University Psychiatry Department, as the Special Projects Vice President for United Behavioral Health and as the El Dorado County Mental Health Director. In 2007, he joined the behavioral health team at the El Dorado Community Health Center, where he provides behavioral healthcare services and helped develop EDCHC’s MAT program for opioid use disorder. He is a member of the Access El Dorado (ACCEL) provider task force, the California Primary Care Association’s behavioral health peer network and a lifetime member of the American Psychological Association.

Sabrina Rossi, LCSW

Sabrina earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Education from UC Davis and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Sacramento State University. Her practice began at local non-profits providing community-based therapy to children, teens and families. While working with teens in the juvenile justice system, she earned her certification in Functional Family Therapy (FFT). Sabrina was one of the founding therapists at the Gender Health Center in Sacramento, a grassroots organization that specializes with the LGBT Community, and has worked in schools, as well as a local in-patient psychiatric hospital in the child and adolescent wing. She is excited to provide therapy to kids, teens, adults and families at El Dorado Community Health Center where her passion and heart remains.

Mark Shelton, LCSW

Mark received his Masters of Social Work and Masters in Public Health at the Boston University. He moved to California with his family because of the beautiful climate and scenery. Mark served in the Peace Corps., stationed in Central America and is bilingual, English/Spanish. He has participated in high school outreach programs, worked in hospital settings including Massachusetts General Hospital, and California State Prison. He specializes in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) education and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.    

Andrea Rodrigo, LCSW

Andrea received her Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University. Andrea is currently a doctoral candidate completing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University, Sacramento. She has spent the majority of her mental health career serving individuals, couples, and families of all ages, genders, races, religions, and nationalities experiencing complex treatment issues including homelessness (social justice), substance use/abuse, domestic violence, (complex) trauma, attachment disorders, childhood specific disorders, mood disorders, psychosis/thought disorders, and anxiety-related disorders. Andrea practices utilizing a client-centered, strengths-based integrative therapeutic approach including such models as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT, EFFT), Cognitive Behavioral Based Therapies, Play Therapies, and Family System Focused Therapies.
